we saw it!

we had a dr appt yesterday, and we were hoping to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. apparently, it was not to be. since the baby's still so small (about 3 inches) and my uterus is tilted back, my doctor was unable to locate it.

instead, she had us go to a different hospital (the place where i'll deliver the baby in november) to get an ultrasound. it's wasn't a panic thing - she just wanted to make sure that the baby's ok before our genetic counseling appt next week. so, no heartbeat - but we got to see the baby instead! BONUS! there's only 1 (whew!) and it has all it's limbs. at this point, that's all we can really tell (won't know the sex for another 2 months).
